In true digital style, Spicerack was born in a spare bedroom. In 2010, after a few years of juggling a dozen freelancers over email, Dave took the plunge and offered one of them a full time job.

In 2011 the growing team moved to a cutting-edge business centre with dodgy broadband. 18 months later we moved to the current studios at Bristol’s growing creative hub, Paintworks.

There’s no spare bed in the corner anymore, but Spicerack’s ethos to remain human and accessible remains intact.

Key People

Justin Boynton Technology Director & Partner

Justin is a passionate technologist with a wealth of experience designing and building software solutions for digital businesses. He enjoys working with clients to create applications that solve real world problems and deliver great user experiences.

Justin started his career as a developer and network engineer before joining digital agency Profero. As Technical Director, he was responsible for the global technical team and IT infrastructure, as well as the development of the group’s ad-serving platform.

After leaving Profero he founded the digital consultancy Stylefoundry, and has worked in a Technical Director capacity for a number of start-up businesses, including Ready To Air and Web TV Enterprise. He has also worked in an advisory role for a number of internet businesses.

Dave Harrison Creative Partner & Founder

Dave worked in Amsterdam as an Information designer in 1997, before joining global digital agency Profero in 1998. On the board from 2001 as the Creative Director, his accounts included Channel 5, Disney, COI and Black & Decker.

Working from London, Dave was a panelist for the IAB, a member of the IPA’s Creative Directors’ Forum and a judge for the Guardian’s Creative Showcase.

Moving to the west country in 2004, he creatively consulted for clients including L’Oréal, M&C Saatchi and Hearst Digital, before forming Spicerack in 2010. In 2014 Dave oversaw the merger between Spicerack and Stylefoundry, run by old friend and fellow Profero board director Justin.
