Introducing Sketchnoting to Enhance Visual Thinking

Join us online on Thursday 2nd July, 1100-1230, for an introduction to sketchnoting, a versatile skill for anyone who's ever had to take notes in their personal or professional lives. 

About the Workshop:

Led by Liam Williams, Founder of LeoDo, this free 90 minute workshop will give you an introduction to sketchnoting; a concept which unlocks the power of visual thinking. 

Pens & paper at the ready, this practical workshop aims to provide the following:

·  An understanding of what sketchnoting is

·  Why sketchnoting is transformational and how you can benefit from using it

·  A new skill for you to apply straight away and change your note taking forever

·  Tips & tricks plus a post session PDF Playbook so you don’t miss a thing!

It’s a fun workshop with real value helping you boost your brain power, boost individual performance, boost idea generation and can be used as a technique to improve your active listening. 

Recommended For:

If you’ve ever taken notes before this will be for you. Zero drawing ability is needed because sketchnoting isn’t art. It’s about utilising visuals in a number of aspects of what you do to enhance creativity, communication, memory recall and engagement. Transform the way you capture information in meetings, at talks, while listening to podcasts, even your personal journals or to do lists. The benefits are limitless! This session is available to Bristol Media members only.  

What You'll Need:

Just a pen and paper!  There will be practical exercises throughout so a notebook, or just plain paper will do!

About Liam

Liam saw his first sketchnote while attending The DO Lectures in 2016. A game changer where he found a passion and a transformational skill to help him learn in a completely different way. Honing the skill since, it has led to him being an Ambassador for Social Media Week Bristol, working with Tedx Bristol, delivering workshops for schools, universities and businesses and utilising the sketchnoting skill as part of internal campaigns to unlock ideas to help drive project success. With a background in pensions Liam has also worked for Hargreaves Lansdown, Royal London, Curtis Banks and most recently Legal & General utilising his skills to help drive forward projects in an agile environment.
