Creative Industries Access to Finance Survey

Published on Monday, 17th July 2017

Creative England is currently working alongside partners at the Creative Industries Council to develop a set of proposals for Government – as part of the Industrial Strategy – to secure better investment and support to help grow businesses across the creative industries and throughout the UK regions.

Part of that work is improving knowledge of the current landscape for creative industry businesses accessing finance. Working with research agency BDRC Continental, we have developed a finance survey for creative businesses, to assess what their needs are for finance, the types of finance they access, the barriers preventing them from accessing finance and more.

This is a unique opportunity to enrich the evidence base around the investment challenges and opportunities for creative businesses across the UK and bring about real change in terms of the availability of finance to help grow creative IP-rich businesses throughout the regions. Please help us by completing the survey.

The survey takes 10-15mins to complete and is available here.

The survey is due to close on the 28th July. All information that is provided by businesses will be treated by BDRC Continental in the strictest confidence. Adam Killey – Adam.Killey@creativeengland.co.uk – is helping to coordinate the project and happy to answer any further questions you might have.

Please note, to make the survey as relevant as possible, we are seeking only to reach businesses working in the following DCMS recognised creative sectors:

  • Advertising and Marketing
  • Architecture
  • Crafts
  • Design and designer fashion
  • Film, TV, video, radio  and photography
  • IT, software, computer services and computer games
  • Publishing
  • Museums, galleries and libraries
  • Music, performing and visual arts
