#theSPARKies Tech Awards are back! THE celebration of all things tech and digital in the South West, championing the best startups, companies, entrepreneurs, mentors, hardware, apps, websites and more, and we’re supporting them in the drive to celebrate the best of Tech in the region. 

With the sponsors confirmed, judges picked and prosecco on ice you've until the 19th of May to get entries/ nominations in.

There are awards for Best Startup, Best App, Best Digital Marketing Campaign, Best Digital Design, and Founder of the Year among many others. You can see the full list of award categories here.

Nicola Chilman from Doodle Maths, last year’s winner for best online app, says, "Winning the SPARKies Award for Best App in 2016 felt like a turning point for Doodlemaths, it kicked off a whole series of successes which culminated in winning Pitch at the Palace and meeting the Queen in November. It’s a fantastic event to get involved in and we’re looking forward to seeing the great new and established companies that will be celebrated this year!”

The 20 judges are experts in their fields, innovative investors, serial entrepreneurs and creative geniuses – many with a series of serial startup successes between them – these are digital bods that truly know their stuff. Including Dan Page, Creative Director at VR World Congress – Europe’s largest virtual reality conference, Mark Turpin, CEO of gold SPARKies sponsor the Yogscast – a Bristol-based media production company with over 20 YouTube channels and 25 million viewers per month, and Emma Jones MBE who founded Enterprise Nation, a small business community of over 75,000 people.

The awards ceremony will take place on 29th June at Komedia Bath, with tickets on sale mid May.
