What is OggaDoon like?

What can you do in this role?

As a Digital Marketing Content specialist you’ll get stuck in to delivering quality content and creative campaigns on a project or retainer basis across our wide range of clients, with a focus on digital expertise and technical writing. From SEO analysis to metadata creation, to assessing new digital projects to comfort with video media, you’ll be our go-to expert for all things digital. You will also contribute to creative content, from writing press releases and building relationships with local, national and international press to managing social media accounts. Your expertise will rest in technical and complex writing, getting to grips with complicated ideas and making them engaging without losing the technical kernel. You’ll be responsible for many projects and client work at once, so you’ll need to be extremely well organised, be able to work independently and have the ability to have a bird’s eye view over your work.   

What needs to be done:

Writing press releases, blogs, web content, newsletters and social posts with SEO in mind
Seeking out opportunities to gain reach for our clients – and ourselves
Optimising digital backends of websites and platforms
Bringing the latest in digital know-how and how this can develop reach for projects
Cross tracking and referencing content performance across channels
Inputting into creative campaigns and then helping to deliver them
Running social media accounts, including analytics and content gathering
Understanding how social channels and digital platforms work and are changing
Being a leader in inbound marketing
Conducting interviews for testimonials, interesting articles and case studies
Developing brand stories and identities
At times, selling in to press and developing those key relationships
Attending networking events (but getting other time off if it is an early or late one!)
Contribution to our own PR, website and social stuff and your say in what we should do next

You will:

Have a keen understanding of digital skills and requirements
Be comfortable with technical language and phrasing
Have an eye for detail
Be creative and understand what reach can deliver
Be a proficient and prolific writer in a range of styles and tones
Understanding the differing audiences that technical writing is created for
Not be afraid to use creative thinking
Have a thorough understanding of social media platforms and how to use them
Be organised and a self-starter
Have a passion for promoting brands that do good
Be suited to flexible working
Be great at interpreting analytics
Be on top of your game and wanting more
BE PASSIONATE ABOUT COMMUNICATIONS

 

You need a few qualifications and experience – we want to hear from people from a diverse range of backgrounds

Educated to degree level or able to show passion and experience. A degree isn’t necessary but you need to demonstrate your expertise and desire. Impress us with what you can do and have done, and your personality.
Demonstrable marketing/PR experience (1-3 years commercial experience - please!)
Ideally you have a tech or high tech background but this is not totally required.

£23-25k+ (with the ability to earn more after 6 month probation period), 20 days holiday + a day off for your birthday + enviable finders' fee + other benefits  

Flexible working - 3 days per week at a central office

4-5 days per week (pro rata)
