Start-ups, the user-centred way

Where: M Shed, Princes Wharf Wapping Road Bristol, BS1 4RN

When: 21 September 2017 9:00am to 2:00pm

Is your business culture genuinely customer-first?

All start-ups want to grow, prove their idea and succeed - that stands to reason. But to become truly successful, a household name, change the world forever, you have to evolve to put the needs of your customers before anything else.

It sounds obvious, but can be often overlooked when a growing company is determined to realise the big idea. Instilling user-centred principles in a nascent start-up culture will set any business up for the best chance of long-term success.

Edo & Google Launchpad proudly invite you to a unique day of learning and mentoring. We’ve designed a packed programme to help start-ups and scale-ups live and breathe user-centred design and put their customer at the heart of everything they do.

Themes of the day will include:

  • Cultural development (user centred transformation)
  • What good, modern leadership looks like
  • Creating a progressive environment of self-managed and multi-disciplinary teams
  • UX is not just UI!
  • Tools & techniques
  • Gathering the right user data
  • Creating Business Objectives and Measurements

The day will break down into:

Morning - for all ticket holders, there will be keynote talks from industry leaders on the topics above.

Lunch is included for all ticket holders - a chance to network with fellow start-ups, Google mentors and speakers.

Afternoon - following sign up to the event, we will send out a screening questionnaire and match 10 organisations with Google Launchpad Mentors for 1-2-1 sessions. These will run from 14:00 - 17:15.

Who this event is for:

This event is for Founders, Managing Directors, Marketing leads, Product Directors, Product Managers / Owners and Designers of growing organisations. It is for technical startups that already have a product with growth potential and are primed to scale.
